Conference Objective<\/strong><\/p>

\u201cTogether for our planet\u201d from Cop 26, was attended by 120 world leaders and over 40,000 registered participants, including 22,274 party delegates, 14,124 observers and 3,886 media representatives to consider the possible options to save our planet from global warming. They agreed to do the followings:<\/p>

Recognizing the emergency related to global warming, leaders in the conference recognized that the impacts of climate change will be much lower if the global temperature rise can be contained within 1.5 \u00b0C instead of the anticipated rise of 2 \u00b0C. A target has been set for accelerated action to reduced carbon emission with a targeted net zero emission by 2050. Zero emission vehicles by the year 2040 is another milestone that has been set.<\/p>

To address these actions, exploiting renewable energy (RE) to the maximum possible extent could be a good option to reduce emission from other sources of energy. To make RE as a viable competitor to the conventional energy resources, we need to explore new renewable sources, invent new technologies and develop business models with financial incentives to maximize its usability.<\/p>

Considering the goal of COP25, COP26 and COP27, that follows the Kyoto Protocol and Paris agreement, new developments in RE should be disseminated at an accelerated rate and Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, United International University is organizing the 7th International Conference on the Developments in Renewable Energy Technology, ICDRET\u201924, March 7 – 9, 2024 at Dhaka, Bangladesh opening up such an opportunity for the academicians, industries and field implementation organizations. Like the previous ICDRETs, we expect participation from all tiers of RE sector to share their new findings and observations to enhance the growth of the RE sector.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
